Wow! Has it really been months since my last post? Yipes.
Its been a very busy few months, however I am happy to say that at the end of the busy-ness is an exciting new project – Access Dance for LIfe! Its a webpage I’ve put together which promotes health and wellness in dance, directed to students, teachers, and parents in dance.
At its core is a collaborative newsletter which brings together the experience of health care professionals in a forum where they can write and express their voice on specific subjects applying to dance. There are some exciting guest contributors planned and perhaps a video or two as well. There are also services provided, which with any luck will boost my freelance business as well.
What I love about this project is that it is an opportunity to combine my experience and knowledge into one project: dance, teaching dance, the pedagogy of dance, administration, my education in kinesiology, and my love of writing. It really came about because I started this little blog and found that health and wellness topics are what I gravitated towards in my writing.
I hope you will take a moment to pop over to the page and check it out. My plan is to keep this one going as it is a bit more personal than the site. Wish me luck on that one!
